I’ve helped up clean up a friends room today. And one of the things I thought was:
Wow, look at the interior of his room! He’s living it!
It’s not so much about being jealous of his decorating style choices. It’s more about missing something in my own room that makes it feel homely. My room’s stuffed with moving boxes and painting material. There’s not much space to move around. But I know that if I move around some stuff and do my best, I can achieve the level of homeliness that my friends room has. Then it’ll be more fun having people over.
Yesterday evening, me, the friend and another friend had dinner together. We ate tagliatelle with spinach, salmon and cream cheese. It’s a simple dinner, but very tasty and healthy. Spinach’s good for you, or so I’ve heard a lot of times. Here’s the recipe:
What you need:
- Spinach, frozen or fresh, doesn’t matter
- Salmon
- Tagliatelle
- Cream cheese (with spices is the best)
- A pan with boiling water
- A saucepan
- People to eat with
How to prepare it:
- Boil the tagliatelle.
- Put the spinach in the saucepan. Warm it up.
- Cut the salmon into chunks and cook it in the spinach
- Put the cream cheese in the spinach and salmon combination.
- Combine everything, or you can serve the tagliatelle and spinach-salmon-cream-cheese serve apart.
I don’t know the name of this dish. I’ve left room for you to play with it. Do you want more salmon? Add more salmon. Do you want more spinach? Add more spinach. You already know what’s good for you and what you want, so I’m not going to tell you the exact measurements. Grow up. Cooking is part experimentation, part art. That’s why it’s so fun. When somebody tells you exactly what you should do, it’s not homely. Homely is when you can be silent all day and know exactly what should be done, and then you do it.
