Spent the last two days painting. Here is the timelapse, as promised:
Materials
- Windsor & Newton 100x100cm cotton canvas
- MOLOTOW ONE4ALL 4mm markers
- POSCA 15mm markers
- Canon EOS 80D + tripod
- Video music: ‘Summer’ & ‘Acoustic Breeze’ by Ben Sound
- Listened to The Minimalists podcast and all albums by José González.
Statement
The painting was inspired by two things: A dream I had the night prior before making it, in which I reconnected with somebody, and the song ‘Down the Line’ by Jose Gonzalez. I omitted one word from the line ‘Come on over‘ so that when placed backwards, the two words would read ‘Overcome’. My mind has been very busy on overcoming certain bad habits, that’s why. The painting will be included in my next exposition at a dentistry.
Until the next time.
Your man,
Mark Dumanon
