It’s Sunday today. Today means straight out chilling, laying in bed for a long time and playing videogames. It also means reflecting on the past week, and looking forward to the upcoming week.
Maybe it’s the fact that I was raised a Christian, but Sundays for me are all about recharging. I don’t work on Sundays, I hardly study, I don’t work out, I just look at my BulletJournal and think about where I want to go next.
It’s like a mini-holiday. I get to take a walk and listen to music. By walking, I stay in touch with nature. There are a lot of trees near where I live. I usually take a hike through the fields, breathing in the clean air and filling up my lungs with it.
On Sundays I take a long hot shower, instead of a short, cold one. It relaxes me. I usually take a cold shower in the mornings so that I wake up, and a warm one in the evening so that I wind down. Taking a cold shower may seem intimidating at first, but once you get used to it it’s actually pretty energizing. Your body really starts to glow when you come in contact with the cold and start breathing deeply.
Sundays are supposed to be personal days. I learned this from reading the Bible. Nowadays the Bible has a bad rep but there are actually some good life lessons in there. I dislike the parts where God acts like a tiran and murders entire nations but I like the parts where Christ gives some solid advice on how to live your life.
If you take Sundays off, you’ll be recharged for the rest of the week. My girlfriend is sometimes very busy on Sundays. She has a lot of stress sometimes. I think it’s because she doesn’t seem to have a great balance system set up and prioritizes work over herself.
My muscles are sore today. This is because I was dancing in So What!. I went with a guy that I’ve met at the tankstation and who lives in my street. I used to play with him when I was a kid. He’s all grown up now. We had some good conversations, we danced our asses off and had two kapsalons.
Thanks for reading this. Until next time.
