I’m getting back into playing the clarinet. I used to play it when I was around 10 years old, but quit because I thought it was not cool enough. Now that I’m past that and I think that playing a clarinet is cool, I’m recording some videos of me playing. So this page is an experimentation in clarinet, as well as recording and WordPress web layout.
2021: February
Decided I want to play clarinet again, so I picked up my old lesson book: Modern Course for the Clarinet, Part 1. Beethoven’s Ninth is here as a placeholder video until I finish a compilation.
I make recordings as follows: I combine an OPPO mobile phone camera (front video) with Droidcam OBS software, a Canon EOS 80D (corner video) with Canon EOS Webcam Utility and a Trust Gaming microphone (audio) so that they can record together in the Open Broadcasting System software on a laptop. It took me about an afternoon to figure out the optimal settings for recording.
