Christmas is almost here. My family is going to take turns visiting my grandpa (whose newfound hobby is beating his family members at online Scrabble).
Tomorrow I’m getting my tattoo lasered again. It’s getting lighter already. I’ve had three laser appointments, about 5-6 to go:

I’ve got a new portrait painting order and will film the process with my new rig. I finally found out how to connect my DSLR to my PC and film what I draw.

Studying is going pretty well, have some catching up to do when it comes to summarizing and reading literature. These three weeks will be a chance to do it. I want to surpass my grades of the last block. Reading Trainspotting now and it hits home. I’ve read Plato’s Symposium, Barrie’s Peter Pan, Brontë’s Jane Eyre, Conrad’s Heart of Darkness. My current courses are a lot of fun, but a lot of work – I have to adapt to that.
I’m applying nicotine patches now, by the way. Yes, of course the battle is mainly mental, but I’ll take whatever comes in use. They help.
I want to make a new etch this holiday, paint the order, and study. That’s all really. Adjusting to lockdown.
O yes! The Butuanon dictionary is partly online (A-K). My father is really busy tackling documenting the Butuanon language and I’m happy to be able to help a bit. I’m even adjusting what courses I will be taking in order to be of more use.
Anyhow, have a festive Christmas. Don’t let that virus get to you.
All yours,
Mark Dumanon
